Please be reassured – this not the start of a joke! “Why don’t mummies sit on the step?”  “I don’t know – why don’t Mummies sit on the step?”

It is a question that my disgruntled son (the Court Jester) asked me this morning. So why don’t we? Is there a grown-up equivalent of sitting on ‘the step’ (our version of the naughty step)?
